Call- It is about placing the amount into the pot for the match.
Fold- It is to drop the hand as you believe the cards are not good to win. It means no contribution to the pot, and you also can forfeit playing.
Hand – A combination of cards. It has five cards to see the player’s hands winning. Hand refers to poker in a single round.
Pot – It is the poker hand prize comprising the blinds or antes, besides the bets made during the hand. The player with the best hand, at the end hand, wins the pot, or the last player having a hand, wins if others fold.
Wild card– It is the value decided by the player who is holding it.
Showdown– It is the end of the hand, though the remaining players show their cards and understand whose hand is the best.
Raise– It is to increase the bet amount for the particular round of betting when a player places a bet. If a player bets $10 and is sitting to your right, you can call a $10 bet and raise for $10 more. It means the bet is now $20, and the players to your left must call the $20 to stay in the game. However, they can also raise $10 in addition. Thus, the bet comes again to you in a round, and you will have to put in the pot $10 to call and to stay in the game and the hand.
